A prime looked you up between meetings and found a PDF from 2019.

Contracting officers and primes check you out fast: what you do, your codes, who you’ve done it for. If that’s scattered across an old website, a SAM.gov profile and an email attachment, they move on to the next name on the list.

And every time your capability statement changes, someone has to remake the PDF.

Wizbang Government Contractor keeps it all on one page, with the capability statement made from it.

Core competencies

What you do best, said plainly.

Your core competencies, numbered and in plain words, with what sets your company apart. It’s the first thing a contracting officer reads, and you change it from Admin whenever your work changes.

  • Company data. UEI, CAGE code, NAICS and PSC codes, certifications and contract vehicles, in one tidy block.
  • Set-asides up front. Veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, 8(a), HUBZone or women-owned, if they apply.
  • A contact form. Requests land in your inbox and email.

Past performance

Proof you’ve done it before.

List your past performance: the agency or prime, what you did, the dates, the value and the result. It’s what evaluators look for, and it stays current because you update one page.

  • A capability statement. A one-page version of your site at /capability.html, made from the same words, ready to print or save as a PDF.
  • Your team. Key people with their roles and clearances, if you choose to list them.
  • Military service. Optional sections for your service and how it carries into your work.

Questions

What people ask before they start.

Is it only for veteran-owned firms?

No. Any company that works with federal agencies or primes can use it. Veteran-owned firms can add the Military service sections and show their set-aside status.

How does the capability statement work?

It’s a one-page version of your site at yourname.wizbangsites.com/capability.html, made from the same competencies, codes and past performance. Print it or save it as a PDF from your browser, and it’s always up to date.

Does it connect to SAM.gov?

No. You type your UEI, CAGE and codes once, the way they appear in SAM.gov. The site doesn’t file or check anything for you.

Can we use our own web address?

Yes. Your site starts at a free address on wizbangsites.com, and you can connect a domain you already own for $3 a month. Admin walks you through it, with the steps for your domain company.

Running more than one site?

Add another from My sites with the same account. Your second site, and every one after it, is 10% off for as long as you keep them.

Are you a veteran?

VetWebDev, our veterans storefront, sells this same site at 25% off for as long as you keep it, with Military service sections you can add. Start at vetwebdev.com.

Can we cancel?

Any time, from your billing page. Your site stays open until the end of the month you paid for.
